Engineered White Oak Across Three Bedrooms and a Hall

Under the carpet was the original 1962 plywood subfloor with about four hundred staples in it and a noticeable hump where a heating duct had been rerouted at some point. Pulling staples and flattening that hump took most of the first day.
Material sat in the house for five days before we opened a single box. We ran the planks in one direction across all four rooms and the hallway, which meant no thresholds anywhere on the floor — the only transition in the job is at the bathroom door.
Every door jamb and casing was undercut so the flooring slides underneath. Baseboard came off and went back on with new shoe molding. The job ran six working days including the subfloor work.
Three bedrooms and the hallway in engineered oak, done in six days including fixing the subfloor. They left the material stacked in the house for most of a week before starting, which I didn't know was a thing until they explained why. A year in and there isn't a gap anywhere. Only hiccup was the transition strip at the bathroom door came in the wrong color and we waited another week for the right one. Everything else ran on the schedule they gave us.
