Carpet & Carpet Tile
Commercial carpet tile and broadloom for offices, schools, auditoriums and homes. Seams, pattern direction and transitions are planned before the first box is opened.
Get a quote for thisCarpet tile is the workhorse floor in offices and schools for a reason. It goes down in sections, so part of a building can stay in use while we work, and a worn or damaged tile can be lifted and replaced years later without touching the rest of the floor. That only holds if the installation is planned. We snap a centerline in every room and work out from it, so the cut tiles at the walls come out the same width on both sides instead of a full tile on one wall and a two-inch sliver on the other.
Every carpet tile has an arrow on the back, and the finished look depends on which way those arrows point. Monolithic, quarter-turn, ashlar and herringbone layouts all read differently under office lighting, and each product only supports certain ones. We confirm the layout with you before we start and keep it consistent through every room and corridor it runs into. A floor that changes direction halfway down a hallway shows it the moment the lights come on.
Broadloom is its own trade. Seams go out of the main traffic path and run toward the light from the windows, not across it, so they disappear instead of casting a shadow line. Seam edges are glued so they cannot fray or peak. We cut and seam contrasting borders around a room's perimeter, and we fit carpet runners over existing hardwood in hallways and offices with care for the old floor along every edge. In homes the same rules apply to bedrooms, family rooms and hallways.
Auditoriums and tiered rooms are where layout matters most. Seating rows curve, aisles step down toward the stage, and every step needs a nosing so the edge is easy to see and the carpet stays tight where feet land hardest. We cut each row to follow its curve instead of piecing in scraps, and we keep the pattern running the same direction from the back row to the front.
Transitions get as much attention as the open floor. Where carpet meets vinyl plank, tile or bare concrete, we install a reducer or transition strip sized to the height difference, so nobody catches a toe and no cart wheel hangs on the edge. Old carpet and pad are pulled and hauled away, the floor underneath is scraped and patched, and the job site is clean at the end of every day. In a building where people are still working down the hall, that matters.
